The United Airlines Belfast Nashville 2015 was a fantastic experience and a first for me as a performer. On Friday night I shared the stage with two amazing singer songwriters, Bruce Joseph and Brian Hassan where we performed three songs each in the round at the Aftershow gig. Another two fabulous singer songwriters played after us, Rebecca Harkin and Scott Southworth. Thanks to Mike Gaston for the great welcome and introducing me to my first green room experience!

Following this an informal song session took place in the bar where a large group of writers sat in a circle and sang their hearts out. I was lucky enough to be sitting next to the marvellous Peter McVeigh. I was also lucky enough to spot the legend that is Foy Vance and tried not to trip over myself with excitement.

Saturday morning saw the relaxed Songtech showcase gig where I performed a half hour set before the rocking Gary Elliot came on. New friends and memories made.

The road home was long but it was so worth it. Thanks to Colin Magee for giving me this opportunity and of course to my two roadies Jack & Gerry Hegarty.
