For most it may have been an ordinary Thursday that heralded a return to the wet and windy weather so typical of West Clare, a year exactly since last winter’s mighty storm took a hold of our country and gave it a good shake.

For me it was the second gig to celebrate the launch of “Dreaming Out Loud” and my first proper acoustic gig as a solo singer songwriter.

Surrounded by pottery and crotchet cushions, twinkling gems and tealights, I drank the best coffee served by the lovely Aisling and Kasia, and sang my songs accompanied by Chris Wood on guitar and Gerry Hegarty on fiddle and backing vocals.

The audience laughed, clapped and some even shed a little tear, in all the right places. A truly magical evening and one which I will cherish for a long time to come. Thank you so much for coming out to support me and big thanks to Aisling, Kasia and The Potter’s Hand. Next stop Roisin’s!
