I was wrecked. It had been a tough week. I was no more in form for a songwriting workshop than bungee jumping off the Cliffs of Moher but I bit the bullet, booked the babysitter and hit for Doolin where one of my all time favourite songwriters John Spillane was giving a  workshop as part of Doolin Writer’s weekend.There were ten of us in the group of varying ages, gender, experience and nationality. John’s reaction to resistance was positive immediate action, and that was before the coffee. I bagged a new song and a bucket of inspiration.
