It was the last evening of February, a wet and windy one, and the last gig for now in West Clare. Some of the audience had come to the first gig in Spanish Point and heard the set before but this environment couldn’t have been more different. Acoustic unplugged and raw, I loved every minute of singing in the gorgeous Guru Teahouse Ennistymon. The sound seemed to carry far beyond the walls of the room. Definitely one of the highlights for me. Thank you Luisa, Tomas and Michelle. Thanks to Karl Hughes of the North Clare Local for the photographs.

Fate conspired against me. and I only made it to the gig in time to catch the last few numbers – John Lennon once said “Life is what happens when you’re making other plans….” However, what I DID see was truly breathtaking. Great performance by Claire, superb presentation, fine accompaniment, and a lovely intimate venue. Claire will go far – this kind of talent is a rare commodity and should be treasured.
